Abu Dhabi to Host First-Ever Mobile Developers Week in December 2025

Abu Dhabi will host the inaugural Mobile Developers Week from December 13 to 15, 2025, marking a major milestone in the UAE’s growth as a global mobile innovation hub. Organized by OMNES Technologies, the event will unite “droidcon” and “Swift Heroes,” the world’s leading Android and iOS developer communities, under one roof at the Abu Dhabi Energy Center.

Supported by the Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau as the Strategic Partner for Destination and Culture, the event also partners with Azure Group, OMNES Media, OMNES Influencers, Advert on Click, and Media Observer. This collaboration ensures strong global visibility while reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s role as both a technology leader and a business tourism destination.

The event comes at a time when the UAE’s digital economy is scaling rapidly, with tech investments projected to surge 145% this year to $313.5 million. The nation’s IT services market is expected to grow at a 9.2% CAGR, reaching $73.49 billion by 2030. Mobile Developers Week will feature four dedicated stages: GovAI Summit, NextPlay Arena, Droidcon, and Swift Heroes, covering critical challenges and opportunities across the mobile ecosystem.

Globally, the mobile economy generated $6.5 trillion in 2024, or 5.8% of world GDP, and is projected to rise to nearly $11 trillion by 2030. With over 94% of internet users actively using mobile apps and global users set to reach 7.49 billion next year, the timing underscores the event’s significance.

“The Mobile Developers Week will serve as a catalyst for the next wave of digital innovation,” said Fahed Aldeeb, Founder & CEO of OMNES Technologies. He highlighted that 98% of mobile app revenue—worth $344 billion—stems from advertising and in-app purchases, presenting new opportunities for cross-platform innovation and monetization.

The three-day conference will host more than 60 regional and international speakers, draw over 2,500 visitors, and feature live app launches, startup pitches, and networking spaces. The initiative aligns with the UAE’s national goal to raise the digital economy’s contribution to non-oil GDP from 12% to 20% by 2030.

Abu Dhabi’s Mobile Developers Week is set to become a defining global platform for developers, entrepreneurs, and investors to collaborate and shape the future of mobile technology.
