Nepal Telecom (NTC) has announced a three-day offer of free data and on-net voice call services to ensure citizens remain connected during the ongoing crisis. The initiative took effect from Tuesday night and will be available to all NTC subscribers.
According to company spokesperson Rabindra Manandhar, the move aims to ease communication between families and relatives both within Nepal and abroad. Customers can activate the services by dialing 141583# for free data and 141587# for free voice calls. NTC has also sent SMS notifications with activation details to all subscribers.
The free internet package provides speeds of 1 Mbps, while the complimentary voice service is limited to calls within the Nepal Telecom network. “This initiative has been taken considering the difficult circumstances, so that people remain connected with their loved ones,” Manandhar said.
