Muscat – Oman Tourism Development Company (OMRAN Group), the government’s executive arm for tourism development, has acquired a strategic stake in Godoba, a digital travel company operating across Oman and the wider MENA region. The move is aimed at accelerating digital transformation in the tourism sector and supporting SMEs while enhancing Oman’s competitiveness as a regional tourism hub.
This marks OMRAN’s second strategic investment in a week, following its stake acquisition in the UK-based UnderTheDoormat Group. Through Godoba, OMRAN seeks to strengthen corporate and government travel solutions with smart tools and integrated services. Godoba’s offerings include integration with the national ticketing system Sanad, digital services for travel agencies, and customized corporate travel programs—all designed to improve efficiency and expand the reach of Oman’s tourism ecosystem.
Mundher Mudrik al Moosawi, Director of Business Development at OMRAN Group, said the investment represents a major step in enriching visitor experiences and providing seamless solutions for stakeholders. He added that it further reinforces Oman’s reputation as a destination for both tourism and investment.
Godoba’s Founder and CEO, Raad Khalifa al Abri, welcomed the partnership as a boost for the company’s regional and international growth, noting that combining Godoba’s technical expertise with OMRAN’s vision would deliver advanced digital travel solutions and expand digital services across the MENA region.
The initiative aligns with Oman’s broader economic diversification agenda, leveraging technology-driven partnerships to create sustainable, authentic, and competitive tourism experiences while preserving the nation’s cultural heritage and natural assets.
