Morocco Showcases Digital Morocco 2030 Strategy and Prepares D4SD Launch at Global Forum

On September 20, 2025, Morocco’s Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform presented the country’s digital transformation vision at the “Ten Geopolitical Meetings” in Truville-sur-Mer, France. The gathering brought together researchers, policymakers, and media to debate pressing global challenges, with Morocco highlighting its progress and ambitions in the digital sphere.

At the core of Morocco’s strategy is Digital Morocco 2030, a roadmap designed to expand citizen-facing digital services, strengthen business support, and accelerate national development through technology. The plan aims to position Morocco as a regional digital leader by advancing governance, inclusion, and innovation.

A key element of this transformation is the upcoming “Management 2.0” legal framework, developed in partnership with the National Data Protection Commission (CNDP), the Directorate General for Information Systems Security (DGSSI), and the Directorate General of National Security (DGSN). The framework will modernize public administration, enhance data governance, and ensure broader access to secure digital services for both citizens and enterprises.

Regionally, Morocco emphasized its growing contribution to Africa’s digital future, particularly through leadership in digitalization and artificial intelligence. These efforts are part of a broader push to align Morocco with global innovation trends while deepening its role within the continent’s digital ecosystem.

Looking ahead, Morocco will officially launch the Digital for Sustainable Development (D4SD) initiative next week during the 80th United Nations General Assembly, in partnership with the UN Development Programme (UNDP). D4SD is envisioned as a transformative platform to establish Morocco as an Arab-African digital hub with global reach, accelerating sustainable development and digital inclusion.
