Muscat – The 14th Oman Health Exhibition opened on Monday under the patronage of H.E. Khalid Hashel al Muselhi, Undersecretary at the Foreign Ministry, bringing together senior officials, diplomats, and healthcare leaders to showcase the Sultanate’s growing focus on innovation in healthcare.
Organised by the Ministry of Health, the exhibition features participation from public and private health institutions including the Quality Assurance Centre, Directorate of Private Establishments, Drug Safety Centre, and the Directorate of Projects and Engineering Services. Key financial stakeholders such as the Financial Services Authority and Oman Qatar Insurance Company are also present, highlighting the increasing importance of health insurance and integrated healthcare financing.
This year’s edition places strong emphasis on artificial intelligence and digital health. Exhibitors are presenting cutting-edge solutions ranging from robotics and drones to telemedicine platforms.
Delivering the keynote, Dr. Nayyar Razvi, Chairman of Emrana Health (Canada), announced plans to integrate AI-guided patient intake questionnaires into treatment systems. He said such tools could reduce physician workflows by up to 40% while improving the accuracy of patient histories. Stressing that AI would support, not replace, doctors, Dr. Razvi also outlined plans to bring telemedicine services to Oman, including structured home visits and technician-assisted clinic consultations to bridge geographical barriers and optimize healthcare resources.
The exhibition also features international hospitals from Canada, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand, and Turkey, showcasing specialties in cardiology, oncology, orthopaedics, neurology, rehabilitation, fertility, aesthetics, paediatrics, and ophthalmology. These institutions are also exploring partnerships and investment opportunities in Oman.
Meanwhile, the ‘Treat in Oman Pavilion’ has reported a 30% increase in participation this year, with hospitals and clinics such as Oman Rehabilitation Centre, Aster Royal Hospital, Starcare Hospital, Sukhumvit Hospital, Noor Iranian Poly Clinic, Asnan Lounge, Optimal, and Free Movement among the key exhibitors.
