Global AI Spending to Reach $1.5 Trillion in 2025, Gartner Forecasts

Global spending on artificial intelligence is projected to hit nearly $1.5 trillion this year, according to technology insights firm Gartner.

John-David Lovelock, Distinguished VP Analyst at Gartner, said the forecast reflects sustained investment in AI infrastructure as hyperscalers expand data centers with AI-optimized GPUs.

He noted that AI spending is broadening beyond U.S. tech leaders, with Chinese companies and new AI cloud providers accelerating investments. Additionally, venture capital continues to drive funding into emerging AI players.

By 2026, global AI investment is expected to surpass $2 trillion, with growth driven by AI integration into everyday devices like smartphones and PCs, alongside ongoing infrastructure expansion.
