The 14th Oman Health Exhibition opened in Muscat under the patronage of H E Khalid Hashel al Muselhi, Undersecretary at the Foreign Ministry, bringing together senior officials, healthcare leaders, and international participants. The annual event, organized by the Ministry of Health, features public and private sector institutions alongside insurers such as the Financial Services Authority and Oman Qatar Insurance Company, underscoring the role of integrated healthcare financing.
This year’s edition highlights digital health and artificial intelligence, with demonstrations of robotics, drones, and telemedicine platforms. Dr Nayyar Razvi, Chairman of Canada’s Emrana Health, delivered the keynote, outlining how AI-guided patient intake questionnaires could streamline physician workflows by up to 40% while enhancing patient histories. He stressed AI’s role as a support tool, ensuring doctors remain responsible for treatment decisions.
Emrana Health also plans to expand telemedicine services in Oman, including structured home visits and data-driven remote consultations, designed to address geographic barriers and improve healthcare efficiency.
International hospitals from Canada, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand, and Turkey are showcasing specialties in cardiology, oncology, orthopaedics, neurology, rehabilitation, fertility, aesthetics, pediatrics, and ophthalmology. Participation in the “Treat in Oman Pavilion” has grown by 30%, with a wide range of local and regional healthcare providers promoting advanced services.
