Kuwait City — The Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT), in partnership with Google Cloud, has launched the second edition of the Kuwait Initiative for Digital Skills Development, designed to equip public sector employees with advanced digital expertise in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.
Minister of State for Communication Affairs, Omar Al-Omar, called the program a milestone in Kuwait’s digital transformation journey, stressing its role in improving government efficiency and service quality. He emphasized that investing in digital skills is central to achieving the New Kuwait Vision 2035, positioning the country as a regional hub for technology and innovation.
“This collaboration is more than just a training program; it is a strategic investment in Kuwait’s future,” Al-Omar said, highlighting the importance of empowering national talent to drive a knowledge-based economy.
Shaymaa Al-Terkait, Google Cloud’s General Manager in Kuwait, reaffirmed the company’s long-term commitment to supporting workforce development. She noted that the program’s expanded offerings will strengthen Kuwait’s digital ecosystem by fostering a pool of future-ready professionals.
Building on the success of the first edition launched in October 2023, which provided training in cloud computing, data analysis, and machine learning, this new phase aims to broaden both reach and impact. It is viewed as a key pillar in Kuwait’s digital modernization strategy, ensuring public sector employees stay ahead in technological innovation.
