Pakistan and Saudi Arabia to Deepen Collaboration in AI and Digital Infrastructure

Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja met with GO Telecommunications Group CEO Yahya bin Saleh Al Mansour in Riyadh to discuss expanding cooperation in digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence (AI), and human capital development.

During her visit to GO Telecommunications Group’s headquarters, both sides explored joint opportunities in next-generation technology and digital connectivity. The meeting resulted in the announcement of the GO AI Hub Pakistan, a new centre dedicated to AI technologies and innovative digital applications. Scheduled for launch in October 2025, the hub aims to drive knowledge exchange, capacity building, and collaborative digital solutions between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

The two sides also discussed broader partnerships in digital infrastructure expansion, data center development, and establishing a technical talent development center in Pakistan, reflecting their shared goal of advancing regional innovation and digital transformation.

Shaza Fatima praised GO Telecommunications Group’s leadership in AI, data centers, and cybersecurity, highlighting Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s “Digital Nation Vision Pakistan.” She noted, “Pakistan and Saudi Arabia share a deep and evolving partnership rooted in mutual growth and digital progress. Through initiatives like GO AI Hub Pakistan, we aim to empower youth with digital skills and accelerate a connected, knowledge-driven future.”

Yahya bin Saleh Al Mansour stated, “We were honored to host Shaza Fatima Khawaja. Our discussions underscored the strong potential for cooperation between the Kingdom and Pakistan. GO’s expansion into Pakistan aligns with our strategic vision to strengthen partnerships with friendly and brotherly nations.”
