Iraq Ranks 10th in Arab World, 114th Globally for Internet Affordability in 2025

Iraq placed 10th among Arab countries and 114th globally in terms of internet affordability, according to the latest report by US-based CEOWORLD magazine. The findings highlight the region’s growing digital divide and varying levels of connectivity costs across the Arab world.

Within the Arab region, Qatar emerged as the most affordable market with an average cost of $0.07 per megabit per second (Mbps), followed by the UAE ($0.32), Bahrain ($0.57), Saudi Arabia ($0.73), Kuwait ($1.09), Oman ($1.27), Egypt ($1.97), Algeria ($2.11), Libya ($2.14), and Iraq ($2.33).

On the global scale, Singapore topped the list as the country offering the world’s cheapest internet at just $0.03 per Mbps, while Burundi ($4.22) and South Sudan ($4.24) were ranked as the most expensive markets for broadband access.

The data underscores the need for continued investment in broadband infrastructure and competitive pricing strategies to improve digital inclusion and accessibility across developing markets such as Iraq.
