Dubai — As GITEX GLOBAL 2025 takes center stage, the UAE is reaffirming its position as a global hub for technology and cyber resilience. H.E. Dr. Mohamed Al-Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security for the UAE Government, emphasized that the event not only highlights cutting-edge technologies but also strengthens international cooperation and investment in the country’s growing digital ecosystem.
“GITEX GLOBAL reflects the UAE’s role as a trusted convener of international collaboration,” Dr. Al-Kuwaiti said. “It fosters enduring partnerships and helps shape pathways for sustainable, technology-driven growth.”
This year’s edition places strong focus on transformative technologies — artificial intelligence (AI), quantum computing, and advanced cyber security — which Dr. Al-Kuwaiti described as both “the next frontier of opportunity and risk.” AI enables predictive defense systems, quantum computing brings new computational power alongside complex challenges, and cyber innovation ensures nations remain resilient against escalating digital threats.
“These technologies together are redefining how countries safeguard their digital assets while laying the foundation for a secure, inclusive digital future,” he noted.
Driving Public–Private Collaboration
Dr. Al-Kuwaiti highlighted that one of GITEX’s greatest strengths lies in catalyzing partnerships between public institutions and private innovators. “We expect deeper strategic collaborations that will enhance the UAE’s competitiveness, drive the integration of emerging technologies, and accelerate innovation across industries,” he said.
Such alliances, he added, are central to building “resilient digital infrastructures that support sustainable growth and international cooperation.”
National Cyber Initiatives at GITEX
Among the UAE Cyber Security Council’s initiatives being showcased at GITEX 2025 are Cyber Pulse, CyberE71, national talent development programs, and the AI-powered National Security Operations Center (NSOC). These efforts are designed to strengthen national capabilities, foster digital resilience, and prepare a skilled workforce for the evolving cyber landscape.
“Through innovation and talent enablement, the UAE is reinforcing its role as a trusted partner in building a secure, agile, and future-ready digital ecosystem both regionally and globally,” Dr. Al-Kuwaiti stated.
A Global Platform for Cyber Dialogue
With cyber threats intensifying worldwide, GITEX serves as a crucial platform for governments, industry leaders, and experts to share best practices and craft joint defense strategies. “It strengthens collective resilience, enhances trust, and ensures the global community is better prepared for the complex security challenges of tomorrow,” Dr. Al-Kuwaiti explained.
Looking Ahead: UAE’s 2031 Vision
Reflecting on the long-term outlook, Dr. Al-Kuwaiti said GITEX would remain a catalyst for achieving the nation’s We the UAE 2031 vision — advancing leadership in cyber security, digital transformation, and global innovation.
“By uniting global partners, attracting investment, and nurturing national talent, GITEX contributes directly to our vision of a sustainable, competitive, and secure digital economy,” he concluded.
