Khazna Data Centres, the UAE’s hyperscale digital infrastructure leader, has announced plans to expand its operational capacity by over 1 gigawatt (GW) within the next five years. The move cements Khazna’s role as the UAE’s national digital infrastructure champion while marking a major step in its international expansion strategy.
More than 400 megawatts (MW) of new capacity will be developed in key global markets, including Saudi Arabia and Italy, forming a cornerstone of Khazna’s vision to build the infrastructure backbone for AI-powered digital economies. Domestically, the company is progressing with several major hyperscale facilities across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Ajman, and is delivering infrastructure for Stargate UAE, an AI cluster housed within the new 5-gigawatt UAE–US AI Campus in Abu Dhabi.
Khazna’s expansion is supported by a US$2.62 billion financing facility secured in partnership with Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB). The funding will fuel both UAE and international projects, aligning with the company’s sustainability-first approach.
All upcoming facilities are designed to LEED Gold standards, incorporating energy-efficient cooling systems, recycled materials, and modular construction techniques that significantly cut carbon emissions, waste, and water usage while accelerating deployment timelines.
By combining scalability, efficiency, and environmental responsibility, Khazna aims to provide the next-generation infrastructure essential for high-density, low-latency AI workloads and digital innovation across regions.
