Huawei Launches the “Huawei ICT Competition 2025–2026” to Empower Algerian Students in Digital Innovation

Algiers, October 28, 2025 — Huawei Algeria has officially launched the “Huawei ICT Competition 2025–2026,” inviting Algerian students to participate in one of the world’s leading technology skill development programs. Registration is now open through December 15, 2025, via Huawei’s official platform .

The competition, held annually, aims to nurture young talent and bridge the gap between academia and industry by offering students the chance to apply their skills in real-world ICT scenarios. The 2025–2026 edition will focus on three strategic domains — Cloud, Network, and Computing — alongside specialized tracks in Teaching and Innovation. These focus areas reflect Huawei’s vision to cultivate expertise essential to the global digital transformation era.

Huawei Algeria emphasized that the competition serves not only as a technical challenge but also as a platform promoting creativity, collaboration, and educational innovation. It encourages participants to develop both their professional and interpersonal skills while contributing to a knowledge-driven digital future.

Over the past six years, Algerian university teams have consistently performed among the best globally in the Huawei ICT Competition, earning multiple awards and showcasing the nation’s growing reputation as a technology talent hub in Africa and beyond.

Organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, the initiative underscores Algeria’s national commitment to advancing digital literacy and youth empowerment in technology.

Recognized by UNESCO’s Global Skills Academy, the Huawei ICT Competition has become a flagship educational program that unites students, educators, and industry experts worldwide to promote research, innovation, and practical ICT skill development.
