The Ignite Board, under Pakistan’s Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT), has approved several flagship digital transformation programs aimed at accelerating innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital skills development nationwide.
A key initiative, the Prime Minister’s Cloud Programme for Startups, will provide emerging businesses with access to global cloud infrastructure through a structured cloud credit framework, enabling scalability and international competitiveness. Additionally, the Code4AI Program will train 7,500 individuals in Python, JavaScript, and Java, focusing on artificial intelligence applications, blockchain development (Ethereum, Solidity, Hyperledger), quantum computing fundamentals, and prompt engineering.
The Board also announced the Digital Pakistan Cyber Security Hackathon 2025, set to take place across six cities with workshops and awareness sessions in 16 locations, engaging over 3,000 participants. To promote excellence, Rs 6.5 million will be awarded to top Capture the Flag (CTF) teams, along with Rs 12 million in international training vouchers and Rs 27 million to sponsor Pakistani teams in global cybersecurity competitions.
In addition, NIC Quetta 2.0 will soon be operational, supporting over 70 entrepreneurs annually through mentorship and investor networking, strengthening Balochistan’s innovation ecosystem. The SAP Training Program will certify 2,500 youth in enterprise technology, positioning Pakistan as a regional hub for SAP talent and expanding global employment opportunities.
Collectively, these initiatives reflect Pakistan’s commitment to building a digitally empowered, innovation-driven economy through strategic investments in skills, infrastructure, and entrepreneurship.
