Maroc Telecom, Orange Maroc, and Inwi Launch 5G Services Across Morocco

Morocco’s three leading telecom operators — Maroc Telecom, Orange Maroc, and Inwi — have officially launched 5G services nationwide, ushering in a new era of high-speed connectivity and digital innovation. The rollout follows the National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (ANRT)’s allocation of 5G licences in July 2025, for which the operators collectively invested MAD 2.1 billion.

The 5G services are initially available in major urban centres, with all three operators committing to cover at least 45% of the population by the end of 2026 and 85% by 2030. Maroc Telecom announced that customers with 5G-compatible smartphones will automatically access the network at no extra cost, while also offering new 5G mobile plans starting at MAD 119 (≈US$13) and a 5G home broadband service.

Inwi launched 5G access for compatible devices with no SIM or plan changes, and Orange Maroc revealed that its network already spans over 100 cities, with nationwide expansion planned in the coming months.

Maroc Telecom also marked the milestone with a new visual identity, replacing its long-standing blue and orange colours with a bold red inspired by the Moroccan flag — symbolizing energy, renewal, and national pride.
