Uzbekistan and Oman have taken a significant step toward expanding collaboration in the space sector, marking the beginning of a deeper high-tech partnership between the two nations.
During a recent visit to Muscat, Uzbekistan’s space delegation held discussions with Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, as well as leading Omani companies including OmanLens and Mars Development and Investments, according to reports from The Caspian Post.
The meetings focused on launching joint investment projects and advancing cooperation in several strategic areas: co-developing small artificial satellites, establishing space-oriented laboratories and ground stations, enhancing remote Earth observation capabilities, and creating new educational programs to support talent development in space science. The initiative reflects both countries’ ambitions to expand their roles in the global space ecosystem and strengthen technological capacity through shared expertise and innovation.
