Muslim World League Unveils ‘Minhaj,’ a Global Digital Reference Platform for Islamic Studies

The Muslim World League has launched Minhaj, a comprehensive digital reference platform designed to provide authoritative Islamic scholarship and resolve inconsistencies found across existing religious programs. The platform was inaugurated in Makkah by the MWL’s Secretary-General Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa during a ceremony attended by representatives of key Islamic institutions.

Al-Issa noted that Minhaj is built on an international Shariah-based framework crafted over many years by senior jurists and subject-matter experts, giving the platform “high institutional credibility.” He explained that Minhaj aims to counter contradictions in interpretations circulating online and to offer a trustworthy, unified reference point for Muslims worldwide.

The platform received formal approval from the Islamic Fiqh Council on April 22, 2024, underscoring its scholarly legitimacy. It features a wide suite of interactive digital services, available in multiple languages, addressing a long-standing need for accessible, authoritative Islamic educational tools.

The launch event brought together several prominent religious figures, including Saudi Arabia’s Grand Mufti Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Fawzan Al-Fawzan, the Council of Senior Scholars’ Secretary-General Dr. Fahd bin Saad Al-Majed, the Grand Mosque’s Imam and Khateeb Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid, as well as senior delegations from Algeria and Indonesia.
