AFS and RestHero Sign MoU to Expand Integrated Digital Solutions Across MEA’s Restaurant Sector

Arab Financial Services (AFS), the region’s leading digital payment processor and fintech enabler, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with RestHero, an AI-powered restaurant technology platform, marking a strategic step toward accelerating digital transformation in the Middle East and Africa’s F&B sector. The agreement sets the groundwork for deploying RestHero’s digital ordering, loyalty, and social commerce tools across regional merchants, enabling restaurants to build direct digital channels, improve margins, and reduce reliance on third-party aggregators.

By integrating AFS’s secure payment infrastructure with RestHero’s capabilities, the collaboration aims to deliver a unified platform that helps restaurants consolidate operational and payment data, streamline workflows, and deliver consistent customer experiences across online and social media touchpoints. The partnership supports F&B merchants in adopting scalable digital commerce models that enhance efficiency and unlock higher-value revenue streams.

AFS CEO Samer Soliman said the proposed strategic investment reflects AFS’s commitment to enabling high-potential fintech ventures and building a powerful ecosystem for the region’s F&B industry. RestHero CEO Dr. Abdulla Al Shimmari described the partnership as a transformative endorsement, enabling restaurants to leverage real-time data for personalized marketing and accelerated growth.

Both organizations will continue exploring opportunities outlined in the MoU to strengthen digital capabilities for F&B merchants across MEA, driving operational efficiency and long-term competitiveness
