Sama X, a newly launched regional connectivity venture and authorised global reseller of Starlink, has received regulatory approval from Jordan’s Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) to begin reselling SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet services across the Kingdom. Jordan will serve as the launch market for Sama X’s broader regional rollout.
The approval enables Sama X to provide high-speed, low-latency satellite connectivity nationwide, addressing long-standing access gaps across industry, education, enterprise, government, and humanitarian sectors. The company said its services will be particularly impactful in Jordan’s remote northern and southern regions, supporting use cases ranging from NGO operations and refugee camps to rural digital government services and enterprise connectivity.
Sama X will offer Starlink’s low-Earth-orbit (LEO) satellite solutions as both primary and backup connectivity, ensuring reliable internet access in areas beyond the reach of traditional terrestrial networks. The company will also provide end-to-end services, including customer consultation, rapid installation, activation, and local support through a 24/7 bilingual call centre in Arabic and English.
Amit Somani, CEO of Sama X, said Jordan’s diverse geography and economic landscape make it an ideal market for next-generation satellite broadband. He noted that the combination of Starlink’s advanced LEO constellation and Sama X’s local market expertise will allow users across the Kingdom to access the same high-speed internet experience available in Amman.
Sama X is backed by Alghanim Industries, one of the Middle East’s largest privately owned conglomerates, giving the venture access to significant operational scale and regional experience. Founded in 2025 and headquartered in Dubai, Sama X focuses on delivering tailored connectivity solutions for enterprises, small businesses, and professional users across the region.
