Akash Digital TV Launches Akash Go OTT Platform With Sports and Entertainment Content

Akash Digital TV has expanded its digital offerings with the launch of Akash Go, a new over-the-top (OTT) streaming platform featuring premium sports and entertainment content. The platform marks Akash’s entry into the OTT space as it looks to reach a wider digital audience beyond traditional direct-to-home (DTH) services.

Akash Go will stream live coverage of major sporting events, including the BPL 2026 and LaLiga, alongside a library of web series and films sourced from content providers such as Hotstar Specials, JioCinema and Zee. The service is open to all users, regardless of whether they are existing Akash DTH subscribers.

The platform is available through two subscription tiers, Go Prime and Go LaLiga, offering flexible monthly pricing options. Users can access content across smartphones, tablets and web browsers, with support for simultaneous streaming on up to three devices. The Akash Go app is available for download on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

In addition to the standalone OTT service, Akash Digital TV has introduced the Akash Go Companion App exclusively for its DTH subscribers. The companion app provides access to live sports, web content and local television channels, enhancing the viewing experience for existing customers.

Akash Digital TV remains Bangladesh’s only licensed nationwide DTH operator, delivering television services across the country, including remote and underserved areas.
