Egypt: Meska AI calls for sustainable ecosystem, inks deal with PTS Holdings at ‘Spark Vol.2’

Cairo — Meska AI brought together industry leaders, investors, and startups at its “Meska Spark Vol.2” conference on Friday at the Creativa Innovation Hub, calling for the creation of a sustainable, collaborative ecosystem to accelerate artificial intelligence adoption in Egypt.

Co-founders Nabil Khalifa and Omar El Monayar stressed that Egypt’s AI future depends on enterprise-ready solutions and stronger alignment across startups, corporates, investors, and policymakers. They urged a shift from experimentation toward practical, scalable deployments that can deliver long-term economic impact.

The event featured panel discussions on building AI entrepreneurs, investment criteria, and corporate AI adoption, with speakers from major regional players including Valu, Huawei Cloud, and Wuzzuf. Conversations focused on how startups can move beyond prototypes to meet real business needs, and how enterprises can integrate AI into core operations.

A key highlight was the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement between Meska AI and PTS Holdings. Under the partnership, entrepreneurs graduating from Meska programs will gain access to investment opportunities through PTS’s network, which includes entities such as WE and Alpac. Participants will also be able to leverage the PTS Venture Studio for operational support and strategic mentoring.

The conference concluded with industry-led recommendations that prioritised clear business models and measurable customer value over technological novelty. Startup pitch sessions and matchmaking rounds, supported by Huawei Cloud, enabled direct engagement between founders and technical mentors, reinforcing the event’s focus on practical collaboration.

The gathering underscored a growing consensus within Egypt’s tech community: for AI to become a meaningful driver of growth, it must be grounded in real-world use cases, backed by coordinated stakeholders, and supported by pathways from innovation to enterprise adoption.
