KUWAIT CITY, Jan 19: The Embassy of India in Kuwait, in collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) – Kuwait Chapter, organised the “India–Kuwait AI Impact Dialogue 2026” on January 19 at the Salwa Sabah Conference Center. The dialogue was held as a precursor to the “India AI Impact Summit 2026”, scheduled in New Delhi from February 16–20.
The event brought together professionals and experts from Kuwait’s information technology ecosystem, creating a platform for knowledge exchange on AI-driven innovation, ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence, capacity building, and opportunities for India–Kuwait collaboration in emerging digital technologies.
Addressing the gathering, India’s Ambassador to Kuwait, H.E. Mrs. Paramita Tripathi, highlighted India’s commitment to leveraging AI for inclusive development and strengthening partnerships with friendly countries such as Kuwait across research, technology, education, health, energy, and innovation. She noted that India has rapidly positioned itself as a global hub for artificial intelligence, supported by a talent base of more than five million technology professionals.
She added that India ranks among the top countries worldwide in AI skill penetration and adoption, with AI increasingly embedded across healthcare, agriculture, finance, education, and governance. These advances, she said, are driven by India’s strong digital public infrastructure, which enables productivity, innovation, and inclusive growth.
The Ambassador also pointed to India’s startup ecosystem, one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing, with over 100,000 startups and more than 100 unicorns. A growing share of these ventures are AI-led, delivering solutions in fintech, health tech, climate technology, logistics, smart cities, and enterprise automation. With continued focus on talent development, ethical AI, and international collaboration, India is strengthening its role in the global digital economy.
The dialogue was also addressed by Rohit Agarwal, Chairperson of ICAI Kuwait Chapter, who underscored the importance of deeper collaboration between the technology sectors of India and Kuwait. The keynote address was delivered by Nithya Subramanian, Senior Director, Data and AI Code at Best Buy, on “Building an AI-Ready Organization: Data Culture, Digital Literacy & Leadership”. Jamal Al-Humoud, Founder and CEO of Journey Consulting, Kuwait, led a session on “Building Trustworthy AI: Safety, Security & Governance in the Age of Generative AI”. An interactive Q&A session followed.
The India–Kuwait AI Impact Dialogue forms part of the Embassy’s ongoing efforts to showcase India’s technological leadership in artificial intelligence and emerging digital fields. It highlights India’s strengths in innovation, digital public infrastructure, and responsible AI, while fostering meaningful exchange of ideas and best practices between the two countries.
The India AI Impact Summit 2026 was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the France AI Action Summit in February 2025. The summit, to be held in New Delhi from February 16–20, will bring together global leaders, policymakers, industry pioneers, researchers, and innovators to shape the future of AI through dialogue and collaboration. It will be the first global AI summit hosted in the Global South, underscoring India’s growing leadership in inclusive, responsible, and human-centric artificial intelligence.
