Jordan-based Alefredo EdTech has acquired UK online tutoring platform Tutor House in a deal valued at $600,000, marking a strategic expansion into the British education market and strengthening its AI-driven learning ecosystem.
The transaction is primarily structured through equity in Alefredo Holding Company, alongside additional strategic and performance-based components. Through the acquisition, Alefredo gains access to Tutor House’s global network of more than 30,000 tutors serving over 15,000 students, significantly expanding its international reach and tutoring capabilities.
Founded in 2020 by Ahmad Al Saif, Alefredo has evolved from a used-books marketplace into a digital learning platform offering assessments, analytics and curriculum-aligned study tools for international education systems including British, IB and AP programmes. The company has served more than 20,000 users across 16 countries and previously expanded into the UAE through Sheraa.
Alefredo said the acquisition completes its AI-enabled learning stack by integrating tutoring, adaptive learning pathways, assessments and analytics into a unified platform. The deal also enables the company to distribute its British curriculum learning resources to millions of students in the UK, reinforcing Jordan’s growing presence in the regional edtech ecosystem.
The acquisition reflects broader consolidation trends within the edtech sector, as startups pursue cross-border growth strategies to scale technology platforms and expand access to digital learning solutions globally.
