Morocco’s Government Council is set to review a series of legislative and regulatory measures, including draft decrees related to telecommunications licence renewals and updates to public holiday regulations across multiple sectors.
Among the key items on the agenda are proposed extensions for several telecom operators, including Maroc Telecom, Wana Corporate and Société d’aménagement et de développement vert, to continue providing satellite telecommunications services using VSAT technologies. Additional licence renewals cover radio communications networks operating on shared frequencies as well as GMPCS and VSAT satellite services provided by companies such as Orbocomm Maghreb, Thuraya Maghreb, Al Houria Telecom and Gulfsat Maghreb.
The council will also review draft decrees updating the list of paid public holidays for agricultural and non-agricultural sectors, along with statutory holidays observed by public administrations and institutions. Other agenda items include consideration of an air services agreement signed with Benin in September 2025 and approvals related to senior public appointments.
