Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – February 18, 2026: Opensignal, the global authority on real-world connectivity insights, has released its latest Saudi Arabia Mobile Network Experience Report and Fixed Broadband Experience Report, underscoring the Kingdom’s strong competitive performance across both mobile and home broadband networks.
The findings reinforce Saudi Arabia’s recent global recognition in Opensignal’s Global Network Excellence Index, where the Kingdom ranked No.1 globally among large land area countries for mobile download speed. The achievement cements Saudi Arabia’s position as one of the world’s most advanced digital infrastructure markets.
Mobile Network Experience: Speed and Coverage Drive Competition
Based on data collected between October 1 and December 29, 2025, the Mobile Network Experience Report reflects a highly competitive landscape among the Kingdom’s three national operators — stc, Mobily, and Zain.
stc leads across all speed categories, including 5G Download Speed and 5G Upload Speed, while also winning both Coverage Experience and 5G Coverage Experience awards, demonstrating strong network reach and expansion.
Mobily stands out in Reliability Experience and Consistent Quality, highlighting its strength in delivering stable, day-to-day performance for users.
The results point to a mature mobile market where operators differentiate through speed leadership, broad coverage, and consistent real-world user experience.
Fixed Broadband: Fiber Expansion Strengthens Home Connectivity
Saudi Arabia’s fixed broadband market continues to transition toward fiber, with Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) accounting for 69 percent of subscriptions as of September 2025.
In the Fixed Broadband Experience Report, Salam secures the Best Home Internet award, leading nationally in download speed, upload speed, and reliability. Salam also wins Reliability Experience at the national level.
Mobily ranks highest in Consistent Quality nationwide at 62.9 percent and demonstrates strong performance across major cities.
Across both mobile and fixed networks, the reports highlight sustained infrastructure investment, effective spectrum policy, and growing performance maturity. As Saudi Arabia advances its digital transformation agenda, network excellence is increasingly defined not only by speed leadership but also by reliability, coverage depth, and consistent user experience.
