Colombo, March 23, 2026 — Dialog Axiata has expanded its 5G network to over 800 live sites across 24 districts, marking the fastest 5G rollout in Sri Lanka and reinforcing its leadership in next-generation connectivity.
The expansion builds on the commercial launch of Dialog 5G Ultra, which initially covered over 220 sites and served more than 1.5 million subscribers. The network now extends to additional regions including Ratnapura, Badulla, Hambantota, and Vavuniya, significantly broadening nationwide coverage.
To showcase 5G capabilities, Dialog has introduced experience zones featuring use cases such as VR cycling, AI-powered portraits, and smart city demonstrations, highlighting the potential of immersive and AI-driven applications.
