Orange Jordan Opens Registration for 10th Edition of Social Venture Prize

Orange Jordan has opened registration for the 10th local edition of the Orange Social Venture Prize (OSVP) 2026, with applications accepted from 1 April to 10 May through the programme’s online platform.

The prize targets entrepreneurs over 21 with startups established within the past five years that deploy digital tools to create socially impactful solutions. Applicants must be present in at least one of the 17 Orange Middle East and Africa countries and have a working prototype. Local winners will receive JD 4,000 for first place, JD 2,500 for second, and JD 1,500 for third, with top finalists eligible for nomination to the international edition, where prizes reach €25,000 for first place.

Since its inception, the programme has received 17,600 applications from 3,000 participants across the region, with women accounting for 59% of participants and 72% of projects focused on agriculture, education, and the environment. The initiative is delivered through Orange Jordan’s Orange Digital Center.

Editor’s Note: The OSVP’s ten-year track record in Jordan makes it one of the more substantive telecom-anchored startup support programmes in the Levant. The gender and sector participation figures are worth noting — 59% female participation is well above regional norms for tech entrepreneurship programmes, and the agriculture and environment focus aligns with Jordan’s pressing resource constraints. MEA Tech Watch will flag the winners when announced later this year.
