RaedBots has announced the launch of what it describes as Egypt’s first industrial robotics manufacturing company, marking a notable step in the country’s push toward localized automation and advanced manufacturing capabilities.
The Cairo-based startup is focused on designing and producing industrial robots tailored for sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, and warehousing. By building locally, RaedBots aims to reduce reliance on imported robotics systems, which have traditionally dominated the market across the Middle East and Africa.
The company is positioning itself to serve small and medium-sized enterprises as well as larger industrial players seeking cost-effective automation solutions. Its offering includes robotic arms and automation systems that can be integrated into production lines to improve efficiency, reduce operational costs, and address labor-intensive processes.
RaedBots’ entry comes amid increasing regional interest in Industry 4.0 technologies, with governments and private sector players across the Middle East and Africa investing in smart factories, AI-driven systems, and automation infrastructure. Egypt, in particular, has been accelerating efforts to modernize its industrial base and attract technology-driven manufacturing investments.
The startup’s local manufacturing approach could also support supply chain resilience by shortening procurement cycles and enabling faster customization for regional clients.
Editor’s Note:
RaedBots’ launch signals early momentum for domestic robotics manufacturing in North Africa, a segment still heavily dependent on imports. The company’s focus on SME-accessible automation aligns with a broader regional push toward industrial digitisation and productivity gains.
