Saudia Partners with iCoupon to Deploy Digital Airport Voucher System Across Global Network

Saudia has signed an agreement with iCoupon, a digital voucher solutions provider, to introduce an electronically issued voucher system covering meals, lounge access, and other airport services across the airline’s domestic and international network.

Under the arrangement, vouchers are generated electronically and linked directly to a passenger’s flight details. Guests receive notification via SMS and email containing the voucher value, validity period, usage instructions, and a list of participating outlets within the relevant terminal. Redemption is completed by presenting a boarding pass at participating stores, with eligibility verified instantly at the point of service to reduce waiting times during peak periods.

The system will be deployed across airports served by Saudia both within Saudi Arabia and internationally, with the airline stating the move is intended to establish a uniform standard of guest care and provide access to services at authorised outlets worldwide. iCoupon, which specialises in smart digital voucher technology, counts a number of global carriers among its partners.

Saudia framed the initiative as part of its broader digital transformation strategy, which also encompasses cabin upgrades, lounge development, enhancements to the Alfursan loyalty programme, and investment in smart operational systems.

Editor’s Note: The digitisation of airport disruption and amenity vouchers is an increasingly standard component of airline passenger experience programmes, and Saudia’s adoption signals its intent to align with global carrier norms ahead of Saudi Arabia’s rapid tourism expansion. Watch whether the iCoupon integration extends to Saudia’s codeshare and interline partners, which would significantly increase its utility for transit passengers.
