Qatar University’s Artificial Intelligence Association is set to launch the third annual AI Week on November 12, 2024, sponsored by Vodafone Qatar. This week-long event is designed to serve as an interactive platform for showcasing the latest innovations in artificial intelligence (AI), emphasizing its role in sustainable development both locally and worldwide.
During the opening ceremony, Dr. Abdullah Hamed al-Mulla, Director of Student Activities at QU, expressed his enthusiasm for the event: “AI Week 2024 offers a unique opportunity for our students to refine their abilities with cutting-edge AI technologies, ensuring they are well-prepared to meet the challenges of rapid global advancements.”
Dr. al-Mulla also mentioned that AI Week plays a pivotal role in enhancing scientific understanding and expanding the intellectual horizons of students.
Ali Atiq al-Abdulla, Vodafone Qatar’s Head of Media Relations and CSR, highlighted the company’s commitment to fostering strong partnerships with educational institutions. “Our collaboration is driven by a shared commitment to strengthening community bonds and boosting socioeconomic development in Qatar,” he stated.
Kawthar Barakat, President of the AI Association at QU, remarked that AI Week 2024 is a dynamic forum that connects students, researchers, and professionals. It encourages the acquisition of advanced skills and offers a glimpse into the newest AI applications, fostering a deeper engagement with the field.
