In a landmark development for the African continent, Algérie Télécom has introduced its new high-speed internet package, offering speeds of up to 1.2 Gbps. Available from Thursday, November 14, this service is part of the company’s Idoom Fibre offerings and marks a significant milestone in enhancing digital connectivity in the region.

Revolutionizing Internet Speeds Across Africa

Algérie Télécom took to its official Facebook page to announce the details of this unprecedented offering, reinforcing its commitment to providing ultra-fast internet services. With this new package, Algeria takes a leadership position in technological advancements across Africa.

The company also launched various internet speed tiers, designed to cater to diverse consumer needs:

  • 1.2 Gbps at 4,200 DZD/month
  • 240 Mbps at 2,800 DZD/month
  • 120 Mbps at 2,600 DZD/month
  • 60 Mbps at 2,400 DZD/month
  • 30 Mbps at 2,200 DZD/month

Announced During Regional Workshop

The unveiling of the new package took place during a press conference at the regional workshop, “Towards Inclusive and Meaningful Connectivity in the Arab Region,” organized by Algérie Télécom in partnership with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The workshop underscored the critical importance of robust digital infrastructures to achieve universal connectivity.
