Bangladesh will participate in the LAN event of the Asian eSports Games 2024, a major esports competition set to take place in Bangkok, Thailand, from November 23 to December 2. The country will compete in two categories: Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) – Female and eFootball.
The tournament will bring together competitors from various countries across Asia, including Bhutan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan, all vying for esports titles in multiple categories.
Team Bangladesh will field players in both the MLBB – Female and eFootball categories. The MLBB – Female team will consist of Zubaida Anjum Prabha, Rahma, Maryam, Meherunnessa, and Selina Sara. For eFootball, ASM Nesar Uddin will represent the country.
The selection process for these players was organized by the Bangladesh Youth Development and Electronic Sports Association (BYDESA), with the National Qualifier for the Asian Esports Games 2024 held online. The MLBB – Female team was chosen by the Bangladesh Esports Athlete Committee (BESAC), which selected five players from a pool of 20 eligible candidates.
The Asian eSports Games 2024 emphasizes the growing influence of esports in Asia, and for Bangladesh, this event offers a chance to compete on an international stage and engage with some of the region’s best esports players.
