Nowlun, a leading digital freight forwarding platform in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), has raised $1.7 million in seed funding. The round was led by Nama Ventures and A15, with participation from Sanabil 500 Global and several prominent angel investors.
This investment will support Nowlun’s rapid expansion and accelerate the development of its innovative technology platform, which is transforming the logistics industry. The platform offers instant, transparent, and competitive ocean freight rates, streamlined shipment management, and real-time visibility into cargo movements, providing businesses with the tools they need to optimize their logistics operations.
Since its launch in 2021 by Moataz Khamis (CEO), Mahmoud Khaled (CTO), and Ahmed Emara (COO), Nowlun has quickly established itself as a major player in the MENA logistics market. The platform integrates with all major shipping lines, providing users with real-time pricing and the ability to make faster, more informed decisions. Its advanced shipment management system offers a comprehensive control tower, allowing users to track cargo, receive instant notifications, and proactively address any issues.
Moataz Khamis, CEO and co-founder of Nowlun, shared, “Having worked in logistics for over a decade, I’ve seen the inefficiencies firsthand. With this funding, we are committed to using cutting-edge technology to simplify the shipping process and improve the lives of shippers.”
Nama Ventures’ founder and managing partner, Mohammed Alzubi, commented, “Nowlun is a compelling investment for us, particularly given their strong traction in the Saudi market and their ability to disrupt the logistics space. We believe their team has what it takes to lead this transformation.”
Bassem Raafat, Principal at A15, added, “We are excited to partner with Nowlun as they aim to revolutionize the freight forwarding industry. Their combination of domain expertise and innovative technology gives us confidence in their ability to drive efficiency and transparency in the supply chain ecosystem.”
