Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming various sectors, including public security. Orange Jordan, in collaboration with the Public Security Directorate (PSD), is actively exploring the potential of AI to revolutionize operations and services. Together, they recently conducted an interactive session to highlight AI’s impact on public security operations.
The session, which was well-received by representatives from various Public Security departments—including the Criminal Information Department, Forensic and Laboratories Department, Traffic Department, Judicial Executive Department, Operations and Control Directorate, Anti-Narcotics Department, Prevention and Self-Protection Department, and Criminal Investigation Department—aimed to promote digital culture and enhance the knowledge of leaders and decision-makers within the PSD.
Orange Jordan’s Head of the Learning Department, Community Digital Centers Leader, and AI Expert, Hussam Al Hourani, presented real-life examples of AI applications in public security. These included predictive data analysis to handle security threats, predicting crimes, detecting and addressing cyber threats, and identifying behavioral patterns for more informed decision-making.
Discussions focused on AI’s role in developing operational strategies aligned with the digital revolution. This includes improving forensic monitoring and analysis, enhancing rapid response to security challenges, and improving the quality of security data.
Representatives from the PSD expressed their appreciation for Orange Jordan’s efforts to promote digital education and enhance public security capabilities, operations, and services.
