Liquid Intelligent Technologies has announced a strategic partnership with US-based Globalstar to deliver cutting-edge 5G connectivity solutions across Africa, the Middle East, and the Gulf. This collaboration grants Liquid exclusive rights to sell and distribute Globalstar’s XCOM radio access network (RAN) 5G private network solution in these regions, which enhances 5G experiences and supports AI-driven applications.
This technology is expected to revolutionize industries such as mining in Africa and high-end markets in the Middle East and Gulf regions. Liquid will provide comprehensive customer support for Globalstar’s products, including technical and warranty services. The partnership also opens opportunities for potential expansion into Globalstar’s satellite, Band n53 spectrum, and IoT solutions on a non-exclusive basis.
Strive Masiyiwa, founder and chairman of Liquid Intelligent Technologies, emphasized the potential of this technology to empower large businesses, such as mines, with their own 5G private networks and enable NextGen services like AI. Globalstar CEO Dr. Paul E Jacobs highlighted the unique capabilities of their 5G XCOM RAN product, which offers mission-critical high-performance wireless applications, setting the stage for advanced wireless technology deployments across these rapidly growing markets.
