NTXT, a leader in cloud and digital transformation services in Saudi Arabia, has broadened its collaboration with Google Cloud to launch Sovereign Controls by CNTXT. This premium cybersecurity service is specifically designed to meet the stringent data sovereignty, regulatory, and security demands of the Saudi market.
As a reseller of Google Cloud Platform services, CNTXT is offering this solution to help local organizations comply with digital sovereignty mandates. Sovereign Controls includes a managed External Key Management (EKM) service featuring Key Access Justifications (KAJ), which ensures that encryption keys are stored externally and every access request is thoroughly justified. This allows customers to maintain strict control over data, denying access when necessary, including in response to extraterritorial requests.
This service integrates the “DATA SHIELD powered by Fortanix” product and Google Cloud’s External Key Manager, enabling organizations to safeguard sensitive data that would typically be stored on-premises. SITE, a company noted for its innovative digital and cybersecurity services, offers the EKM solution in Saudi Arabia. This integration allows organizations to migrate data to the cloud without compromising the security of their encryption keys, which are maintained in a FIPS 140-2 level 3 certified Hardware Security Module (HSM).
Abdullah Jarwan, CEO of CNTXT, remarked on the launch, “We are thrilled to introduce Cloud External Key Manager to the Saudi market, facilitating secure cloud migration for even the most sensitive workloads. With SITE’s DATA SHIELD and Fortanix EKM, we ensure that our customers’ data is protected by the highest standards of security and encryption.”
Majed Alamri, Chief Business Solutions Officer at SITE, commented, “Bringing the External Key Manager to Saudi Arabia allows organizations to securely transfer their critical data to the cloud, assured by the highest security standards with DATA SHIELD powered by Fortanix EKM.”
Google Cloud’s Country Manager for Saudi Arabia, Bader Almadi, emphasized Google Cloud’s role, stating, “We are committed to working with local partners like CNTXT to meet the Kingdom’s digital sovereignty needs. Sovereign Controls by CNTXT, developed on Google Cloud’s Class C-certified infrastructure, helps Saudi organizations achieve their digital transformation goals while adhering to strict regulatory and data control requirements.”
