Aramco Digital Company has teamed up with AI inference leader Groq to develop the world’s largest inferencing data center in Saudi Arabia, as announced by the Saudi Press Agency. This partnership underscores a major advancement in the Kingdom’s digital transformation goals and reinforces its status as a pioneering force in AI and cloud computing.
The collaboration was unveiled at the Global AI Summit (GAIN Summit) in Riyadh. The new inferencing data center is key to Aramco Digital’s strategy to integrate state-of-the-art technologies that enhance operational efficiency and align with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
By harnessing Groq’s innovative AI and machine-learning infrastructure alongside Aramco Digital’s strategic initiatives, this partnership is set to transform data processing and analytics across multiple industries. The center is projected to handle 5.28 million tokens per second by the end of 2024 and aims to increase this capacity to 53 million tokens per second by 2025, establishing a new benchmark in the industry and significantly expanding Groq’s technological presence in the region.
