KUWAIT—The Public Authority for Communications and Information Technology (CITRA) announced on Wednesday that the “Falcon” submarine cable, owned by Global Cloud Xchange (GCX), has experienced an outage, leading to internet quality issues.
CITRA shared via its official social media channels that it is working closely with GCX to address and repair the outage. In the meantime, the authority is coordinating with internet service providers to reroute data traffic through alternative international cables to maintain service continuity.
