During the “LEAP” 2025 conference in Riyadh, Nidal Bitar, CEO of the Association of Information and Communication Technology Companies (Intaj), highlighted that 70% of international companies consider digital transformation a key priority. Bitar also noted a 270% increase in the adoption of artificial intelligence technologies over the past four years, citing reports from McKinsey and Gartner.
Bitar emphasized the importance of addressing the skills gap, which poses challenges for major digital transformations. He stressed that investing in training programs leads to a 42% increase in productivity, a 94% improvement in employee retention, and 30% faster business growth. Digital training has become a cornerstone for promoting a culture of continuous learning and enhancing competitiveness in the digital era.
Bitar called for companies to adopt a “learn first” approach, investing in employee development to stay aligned with technological advancements and foster sustainable innovation.
