Omantel has entered into a strategic partnership with Singapore-based Shaffra Technology Labs to develop groundbreaking solutions utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) and metaverse technologies. These solutions will be hosted on Omantel’s cloud services and provided to government institutions and private sector companies in Oman to enhance operational efficiency. The agreement was signed at the LEAP 2025 Conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Eng. Aladdin Bait Fadhel, Chief Commercial Officer of Omantel, emphasized that the company aims to solidify its leadership role in Oman’s digital transformation. “Our collaboration with Shaffra will significantly contribute to developing cutting-edge technology solutions, particularly in artificial intelligence, for our customers,” he stated.
Shaffra Technology Labs CEO, Al Harith Al Atawi, expressed excitement about the partnership, highlighting the opportunities for Shaffra in the Omani market. He mentioned that the AI and metaverse solutions, including the AI employee project, are already being adopted by several government and private entities globally. “We aim to deliver a unique experience for Omantel customers through this partnership,” Al Atawi added.
Omantel has previously signed multiple agreements to localize global technologies and enhance Oman’s ICT infrastructure. The company is working with international technology giants to foster Oman’s digital transformation and aims to become an integrated provider of digital solutions for government institutions, businesses, and individual subscribers.
