Paratus Group has announced the launch of Paratus Tanzania through a joint venture with Green Telecom, marking a significant step in the company’s expansion strategy across East Africa. This follows the recent launch of Paratus Kenya, reinforcing Paratus Group’s presence in the region and accelerating its ambitious plans to expand throughout sub-Saharan Africa.
Martin Cox, Chief Commercial Officer of Paratus Group, expressed excitement about the launch, noting that it would benefit both the company and Tanzanian businesses in need of high-quality connectivity services. “Having secured the necessary regulatory licenses, we are excited to partner with Green Telecom to introduce Paratus Tanzania. This joint venture aims to support several key growth sectors in Tanzania, including tourism, which has experienced a 25% increase in the last year, as well as mining, NGOs, the health sector, and the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP). The launch is also expected to create significant job opportunities in the region over the next year.
Green Telecom, founded in 2013, initially focused on providing technology solutions for mobile network operators (MNOs) before expanding into offering connectivity and telecom network services. Today, the company delivers tailored solutions for managing and integrating clients’ network services.
With this new presence in Tanzania, Paratus Group strengthens its ability to offer customized network services to enterprises in need of reliable, high-speed connections across Africa and beyond.
