GITEX Africa Morocco 2025: Africa’s Largest Technology and Startup Event Set to Shape the Digital Future

In mid-April 2025, Marrakech, Morocco, will host over 45,000 attendees from more than 130 countries at GITEX Africa Morocco, the continent’s largest technology and startup event. This dynamic event will showcase groundbreaking innovations in AI, fintech, cybersecurity, health tech, smart cities, and digital transformation.

The event aims to foster high-impact collaborations between industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers, accelerating Africa’s integration into the global digital economy. Africa’s digital economy is expected to contribute $712 billion to the continent’s GDP by 2050, with the African startup ecosystem set to attract over $5 billion in venture capital investments.

The 2025 edition will feature specialized industry summits, creative activations, and networking forums to connect government officials, entrepreneurs, investors, and industry pioneers. It will highlight emerging sectors like AI ecosystems, energy transition, mobility, and sports technologies, further establishing Africa as a key player in the global tech landscape.

A new addition, the Diaspora Studio, will unite African innovators globally, unlocking investment opportunities and partnerships between the African diaspora and local tech ecosystems. The event also focuses on sectors such as EdTech, AgriTech, HealthTech, and SportsTech, emphasizing Africa’s commitment to innovation, investment, and sustainable development.

GITEX Africa Morocco 2025 will address critical challenges in digital economy resilience, featuring strategic sectors like AI, Industry 4.0, IoT, cloud computing, fintech, and e-government, all aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
