Orange Jordan and Hussein Technical University (HTU) have awarded scholarships to exceptional students, aiming to prepare them for Jordan’s growing digital economy. The “Congratulating Al Hussein Grants” program, launched by Orange Jordan in partnership with HTU, was established to celebrate the wedding of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II and has a total value of 100,000 Jordanian dinars. Seven students were selected based on carefully studied criteria and will receive continuous support throughout their studies, provided they maintain their GPA.
The scholarship provides not only university education but also training in the skills needed by the job market, aiming to equip students for future careers in the digital sector. The initiative reflects Orange Jordan’s commitment to investing in youth, contributing to a thriving digital Jordan by fostering exceptional talents.
Eng. Philippe Mansour, CEO of Orange Jordan, stated: “We believe in initiatives that create a lasting impact, such as investing in the youth of the Kingdom through these scholarships, which offer them unique opportunities and prepare them for the future.”
Prof. Ismael Al-Hinti, President of HTU, highlighted the university’s strong partnership with Orange Jordan, emphasizing the shared commitment to advancing technical education and expanding opportunities for youth in modern technology fields.
“The Celebrating Al Hussein Scholarships program empowers our students with exceptional learning opportunities, complemented by hands-on training at a leading company like Orange,” said Prof. Al-Hinti. “This ensures they are well-prepared for the job market and equipped to contribute meaningfully to the growth of a thriving digital economy.”
The scholarship is available to undergraduate students enrolled in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Data Science and AI majors. To qualify, applicants must have a high school GPA of at least 90% and pass a personal interview. The scholarship also includes 8 months of training at Orange Jordan, covering all university fees throughout the study period.
