Oman Post has joined the Universal Postal Union’s ‘Postal Prosperity Zone’ (PPZ) initiative to enhance cross-border e-commerce through integrated digital logistics solutions. Announced at a high-level roundtable in Muscat, the initiative aims to improve global trade by enabling real-time data sharing, standardized tracking, and efficient movement of goods across networks.
The PPZ program aligns with the Universal Postal Union’s Abidjan Strategy and World Customs Organization standards, fostering cooperation between postal operators and private logistics providers. Oman’s participation supports its Vision 2040 plan to position logistics as a key growth sector. Through PPZ, Oman Post will gain digital capabilities and streamline customs operations.
The initiative’s implementation will begin in May 2025, reinforcing Oman’s role as a regional logistics hub and improving connectivity with global e-commerce platforms.
