Jordan Advances Six Places in Global Digital Competitiveness Ranking

Amman — November 6, 2025: Jordan has achieved significant progress in the 2025 IMD World Digital Competitiveness Ranking, rising six places to 44th globally and ranking 7th among Arab countries, according to the Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (Intaj).

Fadi Qutaishat, Chairperson of Intaj, praised the achievement as a reflection of His Majesty King Abdullah II’s vision and the continuous support of Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II in positioning Jordan as a regional hub for technology and innovation. He noted that this advancement aligns with the Economic Modernization Vision (EMV) — a national framework aimed at stimulating economic growth, enhancing competitiveness, and accelerating digital transformation.

Qutaishat highlighted the pivotal roles of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, the National Council for Future Technology, and the National Cybersecurity Center, which have collectively advanced Jordan’s adoption of emerging technologies and strengthened digital infrastructure.

He also emphasized that improvements in education, research, and digital skills development demonstrate deep collaboration between the public and private sectors in enabling a sustainable digital economy and supporting entrepreneurship.

Intaj continues to serve as a strategic partner in supporting Jordanian technology companies, promoting global competitiveness, and providing data-driven insights for policymakers through its regular industry reports and dashboards.

Qutaishat called for continued investment in digital education, innovation, and infrastructure, reaffirming the Kingdom’s commitment to building a knowledge-based economy led by Jordanian youth and anchored in the Royal Vision for a prosperous, tech-driven future.
