Telecom Egypt has announced a comprehensive organizational transformation initiative approved by its Board of Directors, aimed at strengthening strategic focus, improving operational agility, and reinforcing a customer-centric operating model. The changes are designed to accelerate decision-making, enhance execution, and support sustainable long-term growth through clearer accountability and leadership alignment.
As part of the transformation, Telecom Egypt has restructured its commercial operations into two dedicated business sectors: Consumer and Enterprise. The Consumer Sector will focus on individual and home customers, prioritizing growth through a streamlined product portfolio and enhanced service models. The Enterprise Sector will serve corporate, institutional, and government clients, delivering integrated communications and digital solutions that support Egypt’s national digital transformation agenda.
To ensure closer alignment between commercial strategy and service delivery, the Customer Service function has been integrated within each sector. This realignment establishes clear ownership of customer experience and service performance across both Consumer and Enterprise operations.
The Board appointed Mohamed Eltouny as Chief Consumer Officer, tasking him with leading the Consumer Sector’s commercial strategy and operations, with a mandate to accelerate growth, improve efficiency, and enhance customer value and profitability. Ramy Kato has been transferred from Chief Customer Officer to Chief Enterprise Officer, where he will lead enterprise, corporate, and government business, focusing on expansion, strategic partnerships, and digital transformation initiatives aligned with Egypt’s Vision 2030.
Recognizing technology as a key enabler of growth, the Board also appointed Ahmed El-Fouly as Chief Information Officer. He will oversee the modernization and expansion of Telecom Egypt’s digital and information infrastructure, driving innovation, automation, and data-driven capabilities to improve efficiency, resilience, and scalability across the organization.
Commenting on the announcement, Managing Director and CEO Tamer El Mahdi said the transformation forms part of a broader institutional program to modernize the company’s structure, enhance execution quality, strengthen customer-centricity, and reinforce Telecom Egypt’s competitive position amid rapid market developments.
