ENOC, 7X Partner to Integrate Logistics and Retail Networks Across UAE

Dubai government energy group ENOC and trade, transport, and logistics group 7X have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate across e-commerce, quick commerce, logistics enablement, retail innovation, and transport-ready solutions across the UAE.

The MoU establishes a framework for the two parties to assess and develop joint initiatives across several areas. These include exploring joint ventures in convenience retail and auto parts, integrating and scaling dark store solutions, and evaluating the rollout of 7X’s National Network for Logistics retail services — including out-of-home Pick-Up Drop-Off solutions and smart lockers — within ENOC’s fuel station network. The parties will also work to align ENOC’s YES Loyalty programme with 7X’s platforms, and assess automated and mobile refuelling capabilities for the fleet operated by 7X’s logistics arm, EMX.

7X, a public joint stock company under the Emirates Investment Authority, operates a diversified portfolio spanning logistics through NXN, fintech through FINTX, and digital transformation services through EDC, alongside Emirates Post. The partnership with ENOC positions the group’s last-mile and out-of-home infrastructure alongside one of the UAE’s most extensive retail fuel networks.

Editor’s Note: The ENOC-7X deal reflects a broader regional trend of fuel station networks being repositioned as multi-service digital infrastructure nodes — combining last-mile logistics, smart lockers, loyalty ecosystems, and fleet management into a single physical footprint. MEA Tech Watch will be watching whether this MoU progresses to concrete deployment of the dark store and PUDO components, which represent the most substantive digital transformation elements of the partnership.
