Qatar’s digital government adoption has exceeded 74%, as the country continues to scale its Hukoomi e-government platform, which now offers more than 2,300 online services.
The expansion reflects sustained investment in digital public infrastructure, enabling citizens and residents to access a wide range of government services online, including licensing, documentation, and administrative processes. Hukoomi serves as a centralised gateway, streamlining interactions between users and government entities while reducing reliance on in-person services.
Authorities have focused on improving user experience, accessibility, and service integration, contributing to higher adoption rates. The platform’s growth also aligns with Qatar’s broader digital transformation strategy, which prioritises efficiency, transparency, and innovation in public service delivery.
The increasing uptake of e-government services highlights changing user behaviour, with more individuals opting for digital channels to manage routine interactions with government bodies. It also underscores the role of unified platforms in driving adoption at scale.
Qatar’s progress mirrors a wider regional trend, where governments across the Gulf are accelerating digitalisation efforts to enhance service delivery and support economic diversification agendas.
Editor’s Note:
Qatar’s rising digital adoption rates reinforce the effectiveness of centralised government platforms in driving user engagement. The scale of Hukoomi’s service expansion positions it as a key benchmark for digital governance in the Gulf.
