Media City Qatar and IAMT partner to position Qatar as regional content creation hub

Media City Qatar has partnered with the International Academy of Media Training (IAMT) to strengthen the country’s position as a regional hub for media content creation and digital storytelling.

The collaboration will focus on developing talent, enhancing production capabilities, and supporting the growth of Qatar’s media and creative industries. Training programmes and capacity-building initiatives are expected to equip professionals with skills in content production, digital media, and emerging technologies.

The partnership aligns with Qatar’s broader strategy to diversify its economy and build a competitive media ecosystem that can serve regional and global markets. Strengthening local talent and infrastructure is seen as critical to attracting investment and scaling content production capabilities.

As demand for digital content continues to rise across platforms, countries in the region are investing in media infrastructure and skills development to capture value in the growing creative economy.

The initiative also highlights the increasing convergence between technology and media, where digital tools and platforms are reshaping content creation, distribution, and monetisation.
