Mindstream has expanded the infrastructure ecosystem supporting its planned Al-Risha Sovereign AI & Digital Infrastructure Campus in Jordan through separate collaborations with Park Place Technologies and Orange Jordan.
The agreements add data center lifecycle expertise from Park Place Technologies and high-capacity fibre connectivity from Orange Jordan to a campus being developed for sovereign AI, high-performance computing and other compute-intensive workloads.
Mindstream is designing Al-Risha as an energy-backed, modular digital infrastructure platform with a long-term ambition to scale toward approximately 400 MW as demand develops.
Park Place Technologies to support data center lifecycle requirements
Mindstream’s collaboration with Park Place Technologies creates a framework for evaluating opportunities across AI infrastructure, HPC, cloud computing, modular data centers, networking, cybersecurity and edge computing.
Park Place Technologies brings experience in data center and network optimization, infrastructure maintenance, managed services and monitoring.
For Al-Risha, that expertise is intended to support the operational side of large-scale compute infrastructure after deployment.
Mark F. Thimmig, chairman and CEO of Mindstream Energy, said building AI infrastructure requires more than installing compute capacity.
“Customers require infrastructure that can be supported, maintained, monitored, and optimized throughout its operating life,” he said.
Orange Jordan selected as planned fibre provider
Mindstream has also selected Orange Jordan as its planned fibre-optic communications provider for the campus.
The companies intend to explore cooperation around the domestic, regional and international connectivity needed to support AI, HPC and other high-bandwidth workloads.
Orange Jordan’s local telecom infrastructure, combined with Orange’s broader regional and international network, is expected to form a key part of Al-Risha’s connectivity architecture.
Connectivity becomes critical for distributed AI infrastructure
Large-scale AI and HPC facilities require more than power and compute.
They also depend on high-bandwidth, low-latency and resilient network connections to move data between users, cloud environments, enterprise systems and global digital markets.
Thimmig said Orange Jordan’s capabilities could help connect Al-Risha’s energy and compute resources with the customers and markets they are intended to serve.
He added that energy availability and connectivity are becoming increasingly important factors in deciding where large-scale AI infrastructure can be deployed.
Campus targets sovereign AI and high-performance computing
Mindstream is positioning Al-Risha as a platform for sovereign AI, advanced compute and HPC workloads.
The modular model is intended to allow capacity to expand progressively as customer requirements increase rather than requiring the full planned scale to be deployed immediately.
The company says the campus could eventually scale toward approximately 400 MW.
The source does not provide a construction timetable, committed customer capacity or an expected date for initial operations.
Partnership model builds ecosystem around compute campus
The agreements with Park Place Technologies and Orange Jordan are separate relationships.
Mindstream explicitly stated that they do not create a partnership or commercial relationship between Park Place Technologies and Orange Jordan.
Together, however, they illustrate the company’s strategy of assembling specialist providers around the campus across operations, connectivity and infrastructure support.

The Al-Risha project reflects the growing importance of combining power, compute and connectivity in AI infrastructure development.
Large AI campuses increasingly compete not only on available megawatts, but also on network reach, operational resilience and the ability to support infrastructure throughout its lifecycle.
For Jordan, a project of this scale could strengthen the country’s position in regional AI and digital infrastructure if Mindstream can convert the planned ecosystem into operational capacity.
